Gawsh. Law school is such a self-absorbed place to be. Although the city doesn’t really have much visible foliage, it does exist. I hadn’t realized that fall had come and is probably leaving soon. Today, ‘round 3PM, I desperately needed a break from my antsy brain and my anxious heart, so I chose to take a walk. Seasons are consistent, and the world doesn’t stop just because Lillian is in law school, completely engulfed in whatever it means to be a student. God is never-changing, nor will His purpose for me become insignificant due to any external circumstances. This is my very round about way of saying: crap. I’m pretty scared about taking my first batch of finals. But God has been reminding me throughout this week (through some awesome people & incidents) that there is nothing that should ever take my joy away - the kind that comes from the Lord, anyway. Ultimate peace, satisfaction, and assurance. Best way to handle looming, intimidating finals is to remember that I’m going to be okay, no matter what. Grand scheme, bigger picture thinking, lil.
